Design Thinking in Technologies

Attend this workshop to understand the essential role that design thinking plays in the Technologies learning area of the Australian Curriculum.

Design thinking incorporates both creative and critical thinking at key times within a design cycle. Empathy for the user or audience is key and the notion of iterating upon prototypes is also important.


Enjoy a rapid prototyping activity and walk away with a greater skillset to use design thinking within the Technologies Curriculum.

The use of place-holders and interactive elements will scaffold your students' learning and support your teachers ability to assess a Process, Production Skills, Knowledge and Understanding across the curriculum.

Attend this workshop to understand the STEM approach to learning.  Engage with both the Digital Technologies and Design & Technologies Curriculum and identify connections within the Australian Curriculum that support the design of learning with an authentic context. 
Additionally, understand the place that inquiry and design should play to support the learning that occurs across the unit of work.

Attend this workshop to strategically plan for the use of iPad within your school. A 1-1 model may be your aim or you may be planning on a year of effective use of iPad in a shared environment first.
